The launch area is right in front of our beach centre! All you need to do is pump up your kite and get ready! Our assistance team will help you with launching and landing and watch the bay during your session.

Starting with flat water, head outside to catch some serious swell. Try some big carving and high jumps. As you go down wind along Safaga's Island coral reef discover it's flat water turquoise lagoon and enjoy it's magic.

Kitesurfing Daily Boat Trip.

20 min by boat from the Beach Centre across the bay is Tobia Island. Tobia Island is another great spot, ideal for training for beginner and experts alike. In the morning, our boat will take you to the spot. Enjoy a local tea while you prepare your equipment on deck.

The spot is really fantastic for all levels with its shallow water turquoise lagoon and the Arabic desert mountains at background. At the end of the afternoon, you can go back to the hotel by riding a huge downwind, following the boat... It's just amazing !

Please note a safety boat is on hand at both Safaga Bay and Tobia Island.

Windsurfing Holidays in Safaga.

Up-wind riders and experts will enjoy this spot perfect for freeride, speed or free-style lovers. Plus if you like to Bump & Jump you will find outside a nice small swell to play with.

In front of the beach, beginners will feel in totally safe and find optimal conditions (bay protected from swell for the first 200 meters). Beginners learn fast in these conditions and with our courses.

We offer private kitesurfing lessons and courses with only 1 or 2 students per instructor. Fast learning is guaranteed!
Our kitesurfing packages are designed for everyone and to take your riding to the next level. From beginner to expert, our team of international professional instructors can offer a package to suit your individual needs.
Learn at your own pace in a fully secure area with the best equipment and instruction available.



Lessons are available in English, French and Arabic with a maximum of 2 students per instructor. All students are supplied with safety jacket, helmet and harness. All equipment is new, easy to use and regularly checked. 

Coaching with a camera is available on demand.

 

Kitesurfing Equipment Rental.

Our kitesurfing rental equipment is replaced and updated every year and we have a full range of kit available for kitesurfing in all wind speeds. We have a range of the latest Cabrinha and Naish kites. Boards are also available as well as a full selection of safety equipment for beginners.
Remark: Kite and board rental is available for freekiters only (up wind riders, IKO level 3 or above)

 

Windsurfing Lessons.

We offer many different packages for beginners to intermediates.

Children (>10 yrs) and beginners: make your first step in windsurfing with an instructor. Ride in full security with our equipment and our boat.

Not yet an expert? You need to improve your style? Your water start? Your jibe or your speed?

Enjoy a tuition package where you can mix hours with instructor and free riding hours to practice what you have learnt. Our instructors are here to make you improve quickly!

 

Safaga Climate and Wind Conditions.

Air: Sunny all year long with dry air temperatures up to 38° in summer and 20° in winter.

Water: The Red Sea never gets cold averaging 22 in the winter and 27 in the summer.

The Wind in Safaga got for sure among the best wind condition of all red sea with close to 300 days of wind more than 4 bft / 11-15 knots.

The wind in Safaga starts blowing in the morning and increasing in the middle of the morning, this impressively consistent side onshore wind, made stronger by the mountains will please all levels during the day from beginner (morning and end of day) to strong wind and free ride conditions lovers.

April to October: take advantage of the powerful thermals of Safaga's bay. Sun guaranteed, hot and dry weather, the summer temperature are cooled by the wind, just enough ...

November to March: This is a great season in the Red Sea, take advantage to perfect your techniques or try the sport for the first time! Nice and sunny days, perfect for sun bathing. The pros will love the high winds in February and March!

Wetsuits
Summer: Red sea temperature is 25-30 degrees in the summer; don’t forget your lycra in summer season. Sun cream and sunglasses are a must.

Winter: A shorty wetsuit is recommended from December to Marc. Those that are sensitive to the cold might prefer a long 2-3mm wetsuit in the winter time; the water doesn’t go below 20 degrees but wind chill can make it cold.
