The infrastructure on this part of the Sinia is relatively undeveloped and Ras Sudr is by means a party town. But if you’re looking for the ultimate spot for windsurfing or kite surfing then Ras Sudr is it. With it’s cross shore winds the most consistent of any resort in Egypt and it’s shallow water stretching out into the bay for 2.2km, Ras Sudr is perfect not only for novices and intermediates but also for expert freeriders and freestylers.

The bay at Ras Sudr offers over 10 sq. km of flat shallow water, independent of tide. The shallow water lagoon extends out almost 2.2km to the deeper water, offering both kitesurfers and windsurfers unrivalled space. This spot never feels crowded, even on those “busy” days.

For beginners, the low depth of the bay and sand bar right in front of the Beach Centre offers a safe haven to take those first moves, whilst the huge flat bay beyond is perfect for those long blasts or big air moves.

Ras Sudr offers some of the best wind range and consistency in Egypt with a side on – on shore orientation and is an ideal resort for those looking to kite or windsurf all day.

For even more space, the expert will be able to enjoy right after the lagoon a nice ride in deep water with small waves. The stunning backdrop of the Sinai Mountains on one side and the Egyptian Mountains on the other makes each day’s riding a real experience to remember.

Ras Sudr Wind Conditions.

Air: Sunny all year long with dry air temperatures up to 38° in summer and 20° in winter.
Water: The red Sea never gets cold averaging 22 in the winter and 27 in the summer.
The Wind in Ras Sudr is epic and very different to other surfing holiday destinations in Egypt. The winds hold moisture from the natural springs hidden under the Sinai desert, the winds get accelerated as they are funnelled through the mountain ranges that flank the Suez Canal and blow all day a lot of the time.
From March to the end of November the winds are consistently 18 to 25 knots and smooth as, so a joy to kitesurf and windsurf.

Wetsuits

Summer : Red sea temperature is 25-30 grad in the summer, don’t forget your lycra in summer season. Sun cream and sunglasses are a must.
Winter shorty (November; March, April) 2-3mm wetsuit in the winter time; water doesn’t go below 20 grad but wind can be cold)
In addition booties are strongly recommended in Ras Sudr area, as parts of the sandy lagoon have small stones and shells. We have a small selection at the Beach Centre but it is advised to bring your own.

Kite surf Lessons.

Courses for beginner, intermediate and freestyler.
Our kitesurf packages are designed for everyone to take your riding to the next level. From beginner to expert kitesurfers, our team of international, accredited instructors can offer a package to suit your individual needs. Learn at your own pace in a fully secure area with the best equipment and instruction available. 

Lessons are available in English, French, German, Spanish and Arabic with a maximum of 4 students per instructor. All students are supplied with safety jacket, helmet and harness. Most of the equipment is from the year , easy to use and regularly checked..

Kitesurf Equipment Rental

Our rental equipment is replaced and updated every year and we have a full range of kit available for kitesurfing.
For the kitesurfer we have a range of the latest Cabrinha kites. Nobile boards are also available as well as a full selection of safety equipment for beginners.
Note: Kitesurf and board rental are available for freekiters only (upwind riders).

Kites: Cabrinha : Switchblade and Convert both for rental and courses. All equipped with IDS System (Intelligent Depower System).
Boards: Nobile with the famous 555 and Cabrinha: “Prodigy Model” for the courses and “Caliber” and “Custom” for rental (free style and free ride).

Kitesurf Equipment Storage service

Yes with water cleaning (see our freekiter package) : any freekiter wishing to ride on Paradise spot has to take the freekiter package including.: kite assistance service, rescue and beach access.
